Our Story
KUU has been proudly serving our signature ramen, donburi, and hand rolls in Downtown Manhattan since 2016. From day one, our mission has been simple: bring people together over bold, rich, homemade flavors rooted in authentic Japanese recipes — crafted with a New York state of mind.
Our broths are deep and comforting, our sauces layered and intense, our small plates made to share and spark connection. It’s Japanese tradition with a New York kick — made for busy New Yorkers who crave real flavor, real quality, and real moments around the table.
In 2020, we opened our second location in Lenox Hill, bringing that same energy and depth of flavor to hospital workers, first responders, and the Upper East Side community — serving comforting bowls with intensity, warmth, and heart.
Bold Intensity
Eat with energy. No hesitation.
Kuu stands for bold, fast, unapologetically satisfying ramen.
It’s not delicate dining — it’s slurp hard, live fast, New York style.
New York Grit
Built for the hustle.
Inspired by subway chaos, street culture, and everyday resilience.
Kuu fits into real New York life — quick, honest, and always moving.
Diversity in Every Bowl
Many cultures. One bowl.
Like NYC itself, Kuu celebrates spectrum and contrast.
Different backgrounds, same ramen table.
